National and international journalists specialized in wine tourism begin today the press tour realized within the project "Enjoy your meal on the roads of trans borders taste " funded by the Program for Cross-Border Cooperation Italy-Slovenia 2007-2013. The three days tour, will allow participants to experience and learn about flavours, knowledge and traditions of Collio, Karst, Eastern Hills of Friuli and Brda (Collio Slovenian).

The itinerary includes visits to excellence of the area affected by the activities of the Project Enjoy Tour: Spessa Castle,  Abbey of Rosazzo, Vigne Museum of Yona Friedman and Jean-Baptiste Decavele (Udine), then taste wines and productions at the local Agricultural Company "Edi Kante" and "Dario Zidaric" (Trieste) and the Cellar "Belica" (Dobrovo). The journalists will also meet beekeepers of Idrija (Slovenia) and can visit the apiary renovated thanks to Enjoy Tour as well as taste their products. The press tour will end with a visit to Aquileia and the ancient Tenuta  Ca’ Vescovo.

The project Enjoy Tour aims to promote and strengthen food tourism through actions of development and enhancement of local products with the cross-border interventions to support the production and marketing.

The eleven partners: Chamber for Agriculture and Forestry of Slovenia - Institute of Agricultural Forestry Nova Gorica (SLO), Province of Gorizia, Province of Udine, Municipality of Idrija (SLO), Development Agency Idrija-Cerkljanska (SLO) Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trieste, Movimento Turismo del Vino Friuli Venezia Giulia, INFORMEST, Regional Association of Farmers (SLO), Municipality of Kobarid (SLO), City of Ajdovscina, representing a cross-border area which is characterized by beauty natural products and regional food and wine on tradition and respect for the environment.

The activities under ENJOY TOUR are varied and range from training through study visits, exchange of good practices, to establish the networks of paths and roads issues with the call to "sustainability" which features in an increasingly intense demand evolution and tourism offer.

The project duration is 30 months, from August 2012 to January 2015, for a total budget of € 391,374.32 Website:
