The department of international relations and strategic infrastructure of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia organizes the Forum "New challenges of decentralized cooperation" in Udine, at Auditorium of the Region, via Sabbadini, on Friday, May 8, 2015, 9.30 a.m. To register:

The role of the Regions in international cooperation is part of the international and national context which is necessary to consider to understand the contents, logic, processes and development policies. Friuli Venezia Giulia Region wants to fit into this groove outlined by European and national institutions and to propose itself as leader  of the development of partner countries and of a decentralized cooperation ever more strong and effective.

The objective is promoting dialogue processes and networking initiatives among different actors, articulating interventions with multilevel governance mechanisms and promoting public-private partnerships.

During the '' European Year for Development ", has been considered appropriate to organize at local level a Forum dedicated to new challenges that the actors of decentralized cooperation will have to face in order to innovate both the general approach and operating tools to face large structural issues In the framework of the Millennium Development Goals.

The aim is to start a process of comparison and coordination since the synergistic action between European Union, Italian Government and Regions can give a decisive contribution to represent Europe as a unique system, enhancing at the same time the heritage of experiences and territorial partnerships promoted by European regions.
