It was held the 21st July 2016 in the premises of Government Office, a working meeting of the project IPA 2013 "Fight against organized crime in the Western Balkans", implemented in Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo. Prefect Porzio, who leads from its beginning this important project initiative of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of the Interior, received the 5 Italian experts resident in the beneficiary countries and their local assistants working on the project. It has been discussed investigations to be conducted in the coming year, that should be focused on financial crimes, on support to forensic laboratories and on detection of information flows and data exchange on ongoing criminal cases in the Western Balkans. 

Prefect Porzio expressed satisfaction for the important results achieved within the investigations conducted in the frame of the project, that lead to important captures and developed cooperation among Police forces of the beneficiary countries. It was recalled also that this project is the first that European Commission gives directly to a Member State to support ongoing investigations and stimulate cooperation among police forces for a joint fight against organised crime. Resident experts agreed with the proposed work plan and returned to their working offices to continue in the implementation of this important project activities. Informest supports Public Security Department in the financial and economic management of the project.


In compliance with the provisions of the Prime Ministerial Decree dated 11 March 2020 on the containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 Informest will be closed to the public. Activities will continue, as far as possible, in “smart-working”.
