The forthcoming Annual Congress "Choosing a Way for Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings in the Mediterranean: Guidelines on Policies and Practices" will be held in Nice on 4 and 5 October, organized by the MEDNICE project network, an horizontal project funded by the Mediterranean Program aimed at the creation of a network of administrations and public bodies in the Mediterranean countries active in the energy field, sharing results and objectives of energy efficiency. To the MEDNICE thematic community also belongs SISMA, a project aimed at developing innovative financial schemes that support public sector investment in energy refurbishment of public buildings, in which Informest operates as lead partner, with the collaboration of APE FVG - the Friuli Venezia Giulia Energy Agency - as a technical partner, together with six other technical players from Spain, France, Slovenia, Italy, Bosnia and Greece.

During the Annual Congress the first achievements on energy efficiency in some regions of the Mediterranean area will be presented and it will be discussed the main problems that public administrations face in the management and financing of the renovation and energy efficiency of public buildings in order to identify possible common solutions and develop additional networks and relationships. The Annual Congress will also be followed by another two annual appointments in Slovenia and Belgium in 2018 and 2019.

In compliance with the provisions of the Prime Ministerial Decree dated 11 March 2020 on the containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 Informest will be closed to the public. Activities will continue, as far as possible, in “smart-working”.
